Coleman is a co-founder of Blue Oak
Prior to Blue Oak, Coleman worked as an investor at Providence Equity Partners overseeing diligence and underwriting for several growth-oriented investments across the professional services, education, sports, and software industries
Coleman started his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and Houlihan Lokey where he advised business services and media companies on mergers & acquisitions and capital advisory
Coleman grew up in New York and graduated from Duke University

Akshay Patel

Akshay is a co-founder of Blue Oak
Prior to Blue Oak, Akshay worked as an investor at Providence Equity Partners, overseeing diligence and underwriting for several growth-oriented investments across the B2B services, media, sports, and education industries
Akshay started his career in investment banking at Guggenheim where he advised technology, media, and telecom companies on strategic acquisitions
Akshay grew up in Charlotte, NC and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
He is also an executive member of the Future & Options junior board, a non-profit focused on expanding career access to underrepresented communities
